In 1918 the world welcomed what would soon become one of Vogues most famous photographers. When we look at 1950’s vogue we think of elegance and this was all thanks to Henry Clarke. Clarke was known as a fabulous fashion photographer working for American, French and British Vogue from the 1950’s to the late 70’s. He discovered his calling in 1945 while working as a stylist in New York. During a photography session at Vogues studio he became fascinated with photographic image which caused him to abandon his fashion job and start taking pictures. From then on Henrys career as a fashion photographer took flight.
